SQLShift V6.0 Major Release: Function Migration and Dameng Adaptation in One Step
This release introduces function object conversion, expands migration combinations to include Dameng and other databases, and improves batch processing efficiency, further reducing the complexity and cost of enterprise database migration.
1. Core Features
1) Function Object Migration Is Now Available
- Lower migration risk and manual cost: avoids one-by-one manual function rewrites and repeated verification, significantly reducing runtime errors caused by syntax differences or inconsistent return values.
- Higher overall efficiency for non-table object migration: functions and procedures can be migrated and validated together, shortening the overall migration cycle.
- Better integrity and usability of business logic: prevents missing functions from causing dependent procedures to fail compilation or execution, reducing post-migration debugging and rework pressure.

2) Expanded Database Migration Combinations
SQLShift expanded several migration combinations in this release:
- Added Oracle / OceanBase -> Dameng migration: reduces complexity and manual effort when moving to Dameng, helping enterprises complete localization replacement faster.
- Added PostgreSQL -> OceanBase migration: reduces manual adjustment effort in cross-database migration and speeds up PostgreSQL-to-OceanBase projects.
2. Other Updates
Improved Batch Processing
- Supports uploading multiple SQL files simultaneously for conversion, improving throughput in large-scale migration scenarios.
